Grandma beat almost all

Grandma had the second highest, Nick was close, but Tucker, Val and Cris didn't do as well. Next Thanksgiving we'll try again.

Grandma's Birthday

We spent the weekend in St George for Grandma's A birthday . Val came over from Page and Nicky was already there, Mickeal has been home for a week.

Jos and Jes

Our dog Jess took a very gentle attitude toward Megan's daughter Jos, on her visit Saturday.

Susan's family reunion

We spent a few days in St George with family last week. We also moved Nicky down there for school. Val and Tucker came and did a song number for their Grandmother.

acoustic show

Nick played a show last night at Muse. There were two other people that played before him, but he was the best by far. He brought so much more to the acoustic show than the other performers. He has really solid vocal and guitar skills, and his music is interesting. And I don't mean interesting in a "hmmm...that is nice," kind of way. His songs are musically interesting, with dynamics and good rhythm. His shows are also visually interesting. The audience doesn't get bored when he plays. You just never know what will happen next. He pulls musical instruments and choirs out of thin air (and yes, all of it is still acoustic). Just watch.

This song is a Nicky original. Definitely one of my favorite songs ever.

This was their last song and it really surprised everyone in the audience (but the surprise doesn't hit until the last minute).

The three part harmony was planned and practiced before the show. Mickeal and a bunch of friends were sitting in the back for all three shows, pretending to be like everyone else in the audience. During this last song they joined in and you can see the people in the front rows were really surprised. The video doesn't really give the performance justice. It was a very cool surround sound kind of experience.

Nick on vacation

Nick got to go to Disneyland with his other family while the rest of us deal with our ho-hum lives, oh , except Val is in Mexico, Mickeal is home on leave, Cris is moved to North Carolina, Tucker and Mom are babysitting the dog, while I'm at work. whew...

Nick's Graduation

This is Max and Devin with Nick. They have been friends since grade school.
Nick really was only supposed to wear his silver cord for his GPA. The other Bling is purely optional.

Zombie Dog

Mickeal called Susan's new dog a zombie dog because of the glowing eyes in the picture, she hates to have her picture taken for some reason.

Super well trained but older with some slow movements sometimes. We adopted her from a family in SLC who were moving.

Val's Graduation

Valarie Graduated on Friday from Utah Valley University in Secondary Education as an English and Spanish Teacher. We are proud of her for sure.

Cris's Graduation

4 years of hard work is over and he is moving on from BYU. Cris has a job lined up in North Carolina and will leave the end of May to travel out there and find a place to live.


The BYU School of Technology had their Graduation in the Provo Tabernacle.

Mickeals Home

Our scoutmaster put out a bunch of flags for him on our street and as you can see he is in good spirits. He is staying off his leg with crutches and just letting the bone break heal without a cast.
